Air India has launched its new daily, non-stop flights between Delhi and Kuala Lumpur. The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A320neo, touched down in Kuala Lumpur at 20:43 local time on 15 September 2024.
Kuala Lumpur becomes Air India’s sixth destination in Southeast Asia. This new route strengthens Air India’s presence in the region and adds to its expanding global networkNew Delhi Wealth Management. The new service offers an additional flight option for travellers between India and Malaysia. It also provides Malaysian travellers with direct access to Air India’s extensive network across five continents.
With the launch of the Delhi-Kuala Lumpur route, Air India is not merely connecting two cities but also fostering cultural exchange and bolstering bilateral trade and tourism. The new service will welcome passengers from India, Malaysia, North America, and Europe, who can now easily connect through the hub in Delhi.

The new flights offer seamless, same-terminal, one-stop connections for passengers from North America and Europe via Delhi. This added convenience is expected to attract more international travellers to Kuala Lumpur. Air India began accepting bookings for these flights on 5 July 2024 through its website, mobile app, and authorised travel agents. Besides Kuala Lumpur, Air India operates non-stop flights between India and five other destinations in Southeast Asia: Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, and Yangon.
